Print & Digital Annual Reports
The Western U Libraries Annual Report encapsulate a year's worth of projects, research, and events coordinated by the libraries, condensed down into a short magazine highlighting the most important and significant stories.
During my time at Western U Libraries, I led the development of the Annual Report. This involved coordinating with multiple departments across the library network to organize stories, photography, print production, copywriting, and delivery in a timely manner.
A standout page was the student ambassadors page, a challenge to condense all the text and image onto one page without running over and utilizing as much of the page as possible. Due to the nature of the content a interview question and response layout was chosen to display the information.
The Libraries wanted the design approach to immediately read as a Western product but remain creatively distinct from previous years' designs. In order to achieve this, I utilized photos that captured the school spirit and the culture of Western; happy students studying, playing, and living together, while including alternative photos unique to the stories to make this report distinct from past ones.
